I had a tough time getting Dow Corning 340 heatsink compound in a small, inexpensive quantities. I got a 1 kilogram tub which, of course, is overkill for the heatsinks on one laptop. Not wanting to waste it, I bought new food-grade (for camping) polyethylene containers at my local outdoor activity store.
Just to give you an idea of how dense the Dow Corning 340 heatsink compound is, my 1 fluid ounce sized (i.e., max holding capacity of 1 oz of water) container fits about 2.2 oz (net weight) of heatsink compound. Dow Corning specifies a specific gravity of 2, so the containers are slightly oversized (i.e., holds more than 1 oz).
Price includes S&H via USPS First Class Mail (1-3 days). Please add 6.75% sales tax for NC orders.
At least 62 grams plus (net weight) of Dow Corning 340 heatsink compound in a one-fluid-ounze food grade container. This is a huge amount of compound. Even so, I wish I could have purchased something like this size or smaller.
US orders only please. No PO Boxes.
Sold out. Possible future volume purchase if there is enough interest. May 2009, Clifford Vincent Arrow.
