Potty Training My Puppy and Review of the UGODOG Indoor Dog Potty - Part 2 of 4: Switching from Training Pads to the UGODOG
Switching Miat (my Maltese Puppy) from Training Pads to the UGODOG Potty

After I placed the Miat's training pad with the UGODOG indoor dog potty, Miat initially did not know what to do with it.
Consequently, to help with the transition from training pad to UGODOG, I placed a full training pad on top of the UGODOG. All was well. My puppy was content to go potty on the training pad placed on top of the UGODOG!
On the second day, I cut the training pad in half and placed both halves on the UGODOG. On the third day, I placed one half of the training pad on the UGODOG. In this manner, I were able to wean Miat off the disposable training pads and on to the UGODOG. In about one week, Miat was used to pottying on the UGODOG!
Miat (my Maltese Puppy) Successfully Potties on the UGODOG Indoor Dog Potty

Here, Miat squats and demonstrates another textbook pee on the UGODOG. Miat is a boy doggy and usually lifts his left hind leg when he pees outside. However, he squats on the UGODOG when peeing inside.

Hit or Miss Poop's: Miat always squats on the UGODOG, but often his bottom hangs just outside the UGODOG's perimeter. Miat's poop often falls outside of the UGODOG. However, this problem is not unique to the UGODOG; it also happened with training pads. I wonder if I can train my puppy to have his bottom over the UGODOG before he goes poop.
Cleaning the UGODOG

Cleaning the UGODOG of poop is straightforward. I remove the poop off the UGODOG grate with toilet paper and flush the poop down the toilet.
Cleaning the UGODOG of pee is slightly more cumbersome because its size (about the size of a door mat) of the UGODOG is a bit awkward to rinse out. I have found out that it is easiest for me to either rinse the UGODOG of pee either inside in the utility sink in my laundry room or outside off the front porch.

I can stand the entire UGODOG on one of its short sides at an angle in the utility sink in my laundry room and rinse the UGODOG with a bucket of water.

Alternatively, I can carry the entire UGODOG outside to the front of the porch and likewise rinse the UGODOG with a bucket of water.
