Oxygen Sensor Parts and Tools
Here are the parts and tools I needed for the repair:
(1)Denso (PN#234-4169) "first time fit" oxygen sensors with prewired electrical connectors. Quantity:2.
I decide to order the more expensive "drop-in" oxygen sensor that already is prewired with the correct electrical connector that fits to my car. I could have saved about two-thirds of the cost by getting a generic oxygen sensor that has simple component wires to which you have to transfer (e.g., solder) your connector cables from your old oxygen sensor. I have done this with my past 1985 Saab 900T. If you are confident in making reliable electrical wiring connections, you may want to choose the cheaper generic oxygen sensor. This time, I just wanted to get it done fast so I chose the more expensive, conservative option on getting 100% compatible, drop-in, "first time fit" Denso oxygen sensors.
(1B) The Denso product (PN#234-4169) also includes anti-seize compound to apply on the threads of the oxygen sensor before installation.
(2) 22mm Oxygen Sensor Socket, 3/8" drive for bank 2, sensor 1 removal.
(3) 22mm crowfoot wrench socket, 3/8" drive for bank 1, sensor 1 removal. Note: I could have also used the crowfoot for bank 2, sensor 1.
