Steam Cleaning Center Differential Lock Transfer Indicator Switch (Toyota PN #84222-12010 'transfer indicator switch’)

I cleaned my transfer indicator switch the help of my steamer. However, I think it is also possible to clean the switch with a solvent/cleaner like an aerosol can of carburetor cleaner.

The steam cleaner I use here is the Ladybug XLT 2300 Vapor Steam Cleaner. (See http://advap.com/) I find myself using my steam cleaner for a myriad of purposes, e.g., cleaning up accidents of a certain Maltese puppy I am trying to housetrain ;-), in addition to cleaning greasy, dirty auto parts.
